The award-winning San Francisco Gender Equality Principles Initiative is a groundbreaking program that helps organizations around the world achieve greater gender equality through practical implementation of the seven Gender Equality Principles.
On April 15, 2013, the Initiative launched the Gender Equality Challenge. The Challenge invites Bay Area companies to commit to sharing a model practice based on one of the seven Gender Equality Principles. Select model practices will be featured on this website and at future Gender Equality Principles roundtables and forums.
This website provides organizations with a confidential online assessment to track their progress toward a more gender equitable workplace from the factory floor to the boardroom. Women are a critical and growing part of the global workforce. To remain competitive in a market where more equality for women often equals success for the organization, businesses must learn to empower, advance, and invest in women.
