Gender Partnership: The Economic Imperative for the 21st Century is the seond event in the innovative 21st Century Workplace Series facilitated by the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women and the Bay Area Council focused on bringing together women and men leaders to create the workplace culture and practices that will transform gender partnership into business and economic prosperity.

The first event in the series, Honoring Progress: The 2013 Gender Equality Practices, focused on the top Bay Area business practices for advancing gender equality. Honoring Progress is cosponsored by the SF Department on the Status of Women and Calvert Investments in partnership with the Bay Area Council, the Institute for Women's Leadership, and Assemblymember Phil Ting.

The second event, Gender Partnership: The Economic Imperative for the 21st Century (3/18), will bring together CEOs to discuss implementing a gender equality culture, from the top down. Gender Partnership is cosponsored by the Bay Area Council and GenderAllies in partnership with the SF Department on the Status of Women.

Together, these events analyze the policy and culture aspects of workplace inequality, while promoting creative problem-solving and outlining next steps. Top business leaders, policy advocates, and elected officials attending these events will participate in and advance the critical discussion on how to create a more inclusive, innovative, and, ultimately, more productive workplace.
